Roller Parts is committed to supplying reliable, high-quality parts and fabricated products for road rollers, compactors, road milling equipment and associated machinery.
Warranty coverage varies depending on whether the product is manufactured or fabricated by Roller Parts, supplied under the Roller Parts brand, or sourced from a third-party manufacturer, importer or supplier.
The warranty periods described below are provided in addition to any rights and remedies that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Roller Parts Fabricated Products – 12-Month Workmanship Warranty
Products manufactured, welded or fabricated by Roller Parts are covered by a 12-month limited workmanship warranty from the original date of purchase.
This warranty covers defects directly resulting from Roller Parts' fabrication or workmanship, including:
- Defective welding attributable to workmanship
- Fabrication defects
- Assembly defects resulting from Roller Parts' manufacturing process
- Failure of fabricated components where the failure is determined to have resulted from defective workmanship
This warranty does not guarantee the service life of components that are subject to wear, abrasion, impact or demanding operating conditions.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Wear to ground-engaging or contact surfaces
- Damage caused by impact, collision, excessive loading or abnormal operating conditions
- Incorrect installation or fitment
- Incorrect machine application
- Modification, alteration or additional fabrication performed after supply
- Repairs or modifications undertaken by another party without prior approval from Roller Parts
- Misuse, abuse or operation outside the intended application
- Damage caused by associated machine components or pre-existing machine faults
- Corrosion, environmental damage or inadequate maintenance
- Consumable or replaceable wear components unless a separate manufacturing defect is identified
Where a claim is accepted under this limited warranty, Roller Parts may, subject to applicable law, repair the affected product, replace the affected component or provide another appropriate remedy.
2. Roller Parts Branded Products – 12-Month Limited Warranty
Selected products sold under the Roller Parts brand are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the original date of purchase.
This category includes, but is not limited to:
- Ground Engaging Tools (GET)
- Scraper tynes, teeth and associated GET
- Drum rubbers and drum mounts
- Road milling parts
- Scraper systems and scraper components
- Roller Parts branded hydraulic components
- Other products specifically identified as Roller Parts branded products
The warranty covers defects in materials, manufacturing or workmanship that are determined to have existed in the product rather than failures caused by normal operation, wear or external factors.
Wear Components
Many products supplied by Roller Parts operate in extremely demanding environments and are specifically designed to wear during use.
The 12-month warranty does not represent a guarantee that a wear component will last for 12 months.
The rate of wear can vary considerably depending on:
- Machine type and condition
- Material being compacted, milled or worked
- Ground and surface conditions
- Operator technique
- Operating hours
- Machine setup
- Application
- Impact and abrasion
- Installation
- Maintenance practices
Normal or accelerated wear resulting from operating conditions is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Drum Rubbers and Mounts
Where more than 25% of the drum rubbers or mounts on one side of the machine require replacement, Roller Parts recommends replacing the complete set on that side.
Partial replacement may result in uneven load distribution between new and existing mounts, placing additional stress on the newly installed components and potentially contributing to premature wear or failure.
For a complete set or full replacement of drum rubbers or mounts, the machine make, model and serial number must be provided at the time of purchase to assist Roller Parts in confirming the correct fitment and application.
Warranty claims may be affected where components have been partially replaced contrary to these recommendations, or where incorrect or incomplete machine information was supplied at the time of purchase.
This does not exclude any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
GET and Road Milling Parts
Ground-engaging and road milling components are consumable wear products.
Warranty applies to identifiable manufacturing or material defects and does not cover normal wear, abrasion, impact damage, uneven wear or reduced service life resulting from operating conditions.
Scraper Systems
Warranty applies to manufacturing defects in Roller Parts branded scraper systems and components.
Normal wear of scraper blades, scraper teeth, cutting surfaces, bushes, contact surfaces and other consumable components is excluded unless a separate manufacturing defect is established.
Hydraulic Components
Hydraulic product warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
- Hydraulic system contamination
- Incorrect or contaminated hydraulic fluid
- Inadequate filtration
- Incorrect installation
- Incorrect operating pressure
- Excessive pressure
- Cavitation
- Overheating
- Incorrect hose or port connection
- Foreign material entering the hydraulic system
- Damage caused by another machine component
- Failure to correctly flush or clean the hydraulic system before installation
Roller Parts may request information regarding the machine's hydraulic system, installation, filtration and operating conditions when assessing a hydraulic warranty claim.
3. Third-Party, Imported and Supplier Products – 12 or 24-Month Limited Warranty
Products supplied by Roller Parts that are manufactured, imported or distributed by a third-party supplier may carry a 12-month or 24-month manufacturer's, importer's or supplier's warranty, depending on the applicable product and supplier.
The applicable warranty period may be:
and will depend on the warranty provided for the particular product by the relevant manufacturer, importer or supplier.
Where applicable, the warranty period will be identified on the product documentation, quotation, invoice, product listing or confirmed by Roller Parts.
Roller Parts may need to liaise with the applicable manufacturer, importer or supplier when assessing these claims.
Customers who purchased the product directly from Roller Parts should contact Roller Parts in the first instance regarding a warranty claim.
Any manufacturer's or supplier's warranty is additional to rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Claim Requirements
To assist Roller Parts in assessing a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide:
- Original invoice, order number or other reasonable proof of purchase
- Product name
- Roller Parts SKU or part number
- Machine make and model
- Machine serial number where applicable
- Approximate installation date
- Approximate operating hours
- Description of the failure
- Photographs or video showing the affected product
- Photographs of the installation and surrounding machine components
- Details of how and where the machine was being operated
Roller Parts may require the product to be returned or made available for inspection before determining whether a warranty claim is accepted.
A product being submitted for assessment does not automatically mean that the claim has been accepted under warranty.
Customers should discontinue use of a product where continued operation could cause further damage or create a safety risk.
Warranty Assessment
Roller Parts reserves the right to reasonably inspect and assess products submitted under warranty to determine the cause of failure.
Where necessary, Roller Parts may consult the product manufacturer, importer, supplier, engineer or other technical specialist.
Assessment may consider factors including:
- Product condition
- Type and location of failure
- Wear patterns
- Installation
- Machine condition
- Operating environment
- Application
- Maintenance
- Associated machine components
- Evidence of impact, overload or misuse
Where a claim is accepted under a Roller Parts voluntary warranty, Roller Parts may, where permitted by law, repair the product, replace the affected product or component, or provide another appropriate remedy.
Nothing in this warranty limits remedies that a customer may otherwise be entitled to under applicable law.
Warranty Exclusions
Unless otherwise required by law, Roller Parts' voluntary warranties do not cover failures caused by:
- Incorrect installation
- Incorrect fitment or application
- Failure to confirm compatibility where compatibility cannot reasonably be determined from the information provided
- Misuse or abuse
- Operator error
- Accidents
- Collision or impact
- Overloading
- Modification
- Unauthorised repair
- Neglect
- Insufficient maintenance
- Continued operation after a fault becomes apparent
- Incorrect machine adjustment
- Failure of another machine component
- Contamination
- Environmental or chemical exposure
- Abnormal operating conditions
- Use of the product outside its intended purpose
These exclusions apply to Roller Parts' voluntary warranties only and do not exclude any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Returns and Restocking Fee
Roller Parts may accept the return of non-defective products at its discretion.
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the product purchase price.
The restocking fee may apply to circumstances including:
- Change of mind
- Incorrectly ordered products
- Products that are no longer required
- Orders cancelled after processing, procurement or preparation has commenced
- Approved returns of correctly supplied products
Approval of a return is at Roller Parts' discretion unless the customer has a right to a remedy under applicable law.
Returned products may be required to be:
- Unused
- Uninstalled
- Undamaged
- In a resalable condition
- Complete with original components and accessories
- Returned in original packaging where reasonably possible
Special-order, custom-manufactured, modified or specifically fabricated products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
The restocking fee does not apply where a customer is entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
Freight and Shipping Charges
Original freight, shipping, handling and delivery charges are generally non-refundable for approved change-of-mind, incorrectly ordered or other non-defective product returns.
Customers are generally responsible for the cost of returning non-defective products accepted under Roller Parts' discretionary returns policy.
If a product is confirmed to have a fault and applicable law requires Roller Parts to reimburse reasonable return, transport or collection costs, Roller Parts will meet those obligations.
For large, heavy or difficult-to-transport products, customers should contact Roller Parts before arranging return freight.
Roller Parts will not be responsible for unauthorised freight, removal, installation or transport expenses except where required by law or agreed to by Roller Parts in advance.
Incorrectly Ordered or Incorrectly Selected Products
Customers are responsible for providing accurate machine, serial number, model, part number and application information when placing an order.
Where Roller Parts supplies the product ordered by the customer but the customer subsequently determines that the product is unsuitable because incorrect or incomplete information was supplied, the return may be treated as an approved non-defective return and may be subject to the up to 25% restocking fee and applicable freight charges.
This does not affect a customer's rights where Roller Parts recommended or supplied a product that does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Australian Consumer Law

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The warranties provided by Roller Parts are additional to, and do not replace, any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
